"Prime Time" Family Reading Time

Prime Time is a unique humanities-based and family-focused program proven to help children succeed academically and bond families around reading. Weekly storytelling, reading, and discussion sessions featuring award-winning children's books are conducted by scholars and storytellers.

The award-winning children's books introduce fairy tales and folk tales from around the world, stories about problems children encounter, and tales from history.

Prime Time...

-reinforces the role of the family.

-bonds parents and children around the act of reading.

-encourages parents and children to read and discuss humanities topics, fostering high academic expectations and achievement.

-helps parents and children learn how to select books and become active users of library resources.

To participate, families must have children ages 6 to 10. Call the library at (308) 385-5333 or stop in for more information or to sign up.
