Fieldhouse offers softball and baseball spring opportunities

GRAND ISLAND, Neb.—Although the spring season is soon upon us, the indoor fun and fitness opportunities continue at the Community Fieldhouse, 525 E. Fonner Park Road.

The Fieldhouse offers the perfect space to get your bat swinging into the baseball and softball season by using the 70 foot indoor baseball batting cage, a fast-pitch softball cage, and a slow-pitch softball cage. Each cage is supplied with Iron Mike automated throwing machines.

Spring training packages are also available through April 30. Packages include reserving indoor practice team scrimmaging time, live hitting, long toss throwing, and infield practice, use of the batting cages with automated pitching machines, and portable pitching mounds. Package A includes two hours of half turf or one hour of full turf, plus two hours of batting cages which equates to a $170 value for only $80.  Package B is the middle priced option for $150 but has a value of $340. This package includes four hours of half turf or two hours of full turf, plus four hours of batting cage use. The third package, Package C, offers six hours of half turf or three hours of full turf plus six hours use of the batting cages. This option has a value of $510 but is offered for only $225.

To reserve the batting cages or book a spring training package, call the Fieldhouse at 308-384-1900 or email Steve Farrens at stevefa@grand-island.com.
