Art Alcove

Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Public Library is pleased to announce Blake Teichmeier is the featured artist for April in the library’s Art Alcove.

The exhibit, titled "Pen and Ink & Personal Finances” will be on display from April 7 to April 29, showcasing intricate pen and ink drawings. Teichmeier is a local artist and personal finance teacher at Walnut Middle School and blends his passion for art and education. His work is inspired by personal experiences and travels, scenes from Port Angeles, the Lincoln Memorial and other family memories. This exhibit also includes interactive 3D foldables designed for students that are displayed in the library’s glass case.

Visitors are invited to view the exhibit during regular library hours as well as an artist reception that will be held on April 26 from 2-3 p.m., offering the opportunity to meet the artist and learn more about his creative process.

The Grand Island Public Library serves both residents of the City of Grand Island and Hall County.
