The First Shots Program, hosted by Heartland Public Shooting Park, is an introduction to shooting program that is sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Local instructors will give you an introduction to the basics of firearms, ammunition and firearm safety. This program will take the mystery out of firearms for the individual. After the classroom portion of the program, you will be taken to the ranges for a live fire opportunity in rifle, handgun and/or shotgun shooting. This program is geared toward the novice that wants a background in shooting and shooting safety. This program is open to all age groups. This program DOES NOT substitute for the Nebraska Hunter Safety Program. For more information, please contact Heartland Public Shooting Park. Pre-registration is required and can be done by calling the park at 308-385-5048.
