Teens Make Waves @ Your Library Teen Summer Reading Program 2010

Teen Opening Day Kickoff of the Mave Waves @ Your Library Teen Summer Reading Program from 2:00-4:00 PM.  It's for teens ages 11-18. 

For opening day, teens can dig out their sunglasses, flip flops, boogie board shorts, and tropical shirts, and they can take part in our Best Island Outfit, Hula-hoop, and Limbo Contests, and play Island Survivor. Teens can also enjoy some free Wave Pizza, sing karaoke, and can get signed up for the Teen Summer Reading Program and pick up their reading card, calendar, and bag.

Local Radio Station 107.7 THE ISLAND, (http://1077theisland.com) will be doing a live broadcast right here from the library and they will get us pumped up for summer! We want teens to be reading and earning prizes. If teens read 200 pages they can earn a food coupon and a free book, and you get a free pass for the Island Oasis Water Park for Saturday, July 24th from 9:30-11:30 a.m. We have had lots of local businesses donate prizes once again for our awesome teens that read!
