Join us at Camp Augustine to gaze at the sun (safely) and stars with guests from the Platte Valley Astronomical Observers! No registration required. Come and go as you please!

Solar viewing will take place between 4:00 and 5:00 PM. A night sky informational program will be held in the Visitors' Center at 6:00 PM. Night sky viewing will take place between 6:30 and 8:00 PM.

Camp Augustine is located at the end of Camp Augustine Road off South Locust Street. Head south on Locust and turn right at Camp Augustine Road (just before the I-80 interchange). Follow the gravel road to the end and turn left to enter the camp through the main gates.

PLEASE NOTE: In case of cloudy weather, we will not go outside for a sky viewing. However, as long as the weather isn't hazardous, we will still hold the 6:00 PM night sky program inside the Visitors' Center. Check our website and Facebook by 1:00 PM on November 9 for details.

Please bring a flashlight or headlamp and dress for the weather. Note there will be no outdoor seating available, but you may bring your own camp chairs. Feel free to bring binoculars.
