Join us at Camp Augustine to gaze at the stars! Registration is required.
Camp Augustine is located at the end of Camp Augustine Road off South Locust Street. Head south on Locust and turn right at Camp Augustine Road (just before the I-80 interchange). Follow the gravel road to the end and turn left to enter the camp through the main gates.
Please dim your headlights as you enter and park in the lot directly to your left as you enter Camp Augustine. The Visitors' Center is the large building across from the parking lot on the left.
We will begin at the Visitors' Center with a welcome & education session before heading outside to stargaze. There will be some ambient outdoor artificial light for safety reasons.
The star party will wrap up at 8:15. Patrons ages 16 and up are invited to the "After Dark" Star Party at 8:30 following this event (when we turn off outdoor lights), but separate registration is required.
Please note this program will be canceled in the event of rain or excessively cloudy weather. We will notify registrants via email if this is the case.
