Organizations, businesses taking stand against racism Grand Island Independent April 28, 2011
The YWCA spearheads the event. Crouse said the event is a national celebration that started in New Jersey in 2007. As of 2010, a quarter of a million people participated across the nation, including 27 organizations in Hall and Adams counties.
The Grand Island Public Library and its website will feature its Multicultural Center in support of Stand Against Racism Day.
