Find Your Way Around the Health Care Law/AARP Informational Sessions at the Library:
The Grand Island Public Library and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) are co-sponsoring informational sessions for citizens who want to learn about the new health care law. The sessions will discuss how to obtain coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace, tax creedits available to reduce the cost of insurance premimums, the law's benefits and protections, and new coverage options.
The sessions are appropriate for citizens having or not having health insurance or coverage. October sessions will take place in the computer lab at the library, located at 211 N Washington St., on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 2 to 4 p.m. and on Wednesday Oct. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In November the library will be offering four more sessions on this same topic. More information will be released to the community closer to session dates.
These informational sessions are being offered as part of the library's eGov services which provides public computer access to citizens who want to make use of local, state, and federal government online programs.
