The Grand Island Public Library and Central Nebraska Community Services are co-sponsoring informational sessions for citizens who want to learn about the new health care law. The sessions will discuss how to obtain coverage throught the Health Insurance Marketplace, tax credits available to reduce the cost of insurance premimums, the law's benefits and protections, and new coverage.
The first hour session will consist of a presentation followed by questions and answers. The second hour will consist of hands-on-assistance from the Navigator. Participants should bring employer and income information for every member in the household who needs coverage such as pay stubs or W-2 forms, as well as policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of the household, and social security numbers.
These informational sessions are being offered as part of the library's eGov services which provides public computer access to citizens who want to make use of local, state, and federal government online programs.
