The City of Grand Island holds the following Guiding Principles, Laws and Statutes regarding Fair Housing: 

  •   The City of Grand Island will not discriminate based on race, or color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability.

     

  •   The City of Grand Island complies with the following Fair Housing Act:

    • Section 110 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.

    • Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended (29 USC 102 et seq).

    • Davis Bacon Act, as amended (40 USC 276-a – 276-a-5) and Section 2 of the June 13 1934 Act, as amended (48 Stat 948.40 USC 276© and popularly known as The Copeland Act.

    • Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 USC 327 et seq)
