Grand Island City Council approved ordinance No. 9642 on August 15, 2017, this ordinance imposes a 6% occupation tax on vehicles rented within the city limits effective October 1, 2017.Vehicles rented for less than 30 days that are 3/4 of a ton or smaller and do not have an operator would be subject to this occupation tax. For more specific information about the tax please refer to ordinance No. 9642.

The first returns will be due to the City of Grand Island on November 25, 2017.
