The City of Grand Island Public Works Department is planning curb ramp improvements on 4th Street between Broadwell Avenue and Eddy Street; 4th Street and Locust Street; and 15th Street and Walnut Street.  Construction for the curb ramp improvements is scheduled for Summer 2018.  The following intersections are included with this project:

4th Street & Clark Street

4th Street & Greenwich Street

4th Street & Washington Street

4th Street & Adams Street

4th Street & Jefferson Street

4th Street & Madison Street

4th Street & Monroe Street

4th Street & Locust Street

15th Street & Walnut Street

The City of Grand Island has an on-going curb ramp program to upgrade public sidewalk ramps to conform to American with Disabilities Act (ADA).  This project is a continuation of the curb ramp program. 

On January 23, 2018 Grand Island City Council approved a bid award with Galvan Construction, Inc. of Grand Island, Nebraska in an Amount of $80,492.47.
