The City of Grand Island Public Works Department is planning curb ramp improvements on Custer Avenue between North Front Street and Faidley Avenue; and North Front Street between Custer Avenue and Broadwell Avenue.  Construction for the curb ramp improvements is scheduled for Summer 2017.  The following intersections are included with this project:

The City of Grand Island has an on-going curb ramp program to upgrade public sidewalk ramps to conform to American with Disabilities Act (ADA).  This project is a continuation of the curb ramp program. 

On April 11, 2017 City Council awarded The Diamond Engineering Company of Grand Island, Nebraska in the amount of $150,354.00 for the engineering services related to Curb Ramp Project No. 2017-CR-2.
