Seedling Mile Road to US Highway 30

The City of Grand Island Public Works Department is planning drainage improvements on Shady Bend Road between Seedling Mile Road and US Highway 30.  Construction for the drainage improvements is scheduled for Summer 2017. 

The Shady Bend Drainage project include the installation of approximately 1,200 lineal feet of 18” reinforced concrete storm sewer pipe, 18” flared-end sections, storm sewer manholes, area inlet, ditch grading and resurfacing, as needed. 

The drainage improvements will accommodate storm water flows for the area around the Hall County housing, Seedling Mile Court and Wetzel Street. 

On April 25, 2017 City Council awarded an Engineering Services agreement to Van Kirk Bros. of Sutton, Nebraska in the amount of $122,404.00 for the engineering services related to Shady Bend Drainage Project No. 2017-D-2.

This project is currently in closeout stage.
