The Waste Activated Sludge (WAS) blower replacement took place at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.  The outside temporary blower enclosure was in operation when the new blowers were being installed.  The old blowers were installed in the 1960' s and reached the end of their useful life. 

On August 14, 2018 City Council awarded an agreement to Andrews Electric Co. of Geneva, Nebraska in the amount of $111,298.00 for WAS Tank Blower Replacement Project No. 2018-WWTP-1.

On March 26, 2019 City Council approved the Certificate of Final Completion for WAS Tank Blower Replacement Project No. 2018-WWTP-1 with Andrews Electric Co. in the amount of $111,298.00, with additional project expenses of $8,830.35; resulting in a total project cost of $120,128.35.
