The City of Grand Island has an on-going curb ramp program to upgrade public sidewalk ramps to conform to American with Disabilities Act (ADA).

• Louise Street & Greenwich Street
• 6th Street & Greenwich Street
• Trinity Lutheran School area
• Adams Street & Hedde Street
• Adams Street & Bike Trail

On February 28, 2023, via Resolution No. 2023-42, Galvan Construction, Inc. of Grand Island, Nebraska was awarded a $184,148.50 contract for curb ramp installation.

On September 12, 2023, via Resolution No. 2023-219, Grand Island City Council approved the Certificate of Final Completion for Annual Curb Ramp; Project No. 2023-CR-1 in the total amount of $206,7483.53.
