The City of Grand Island has an on-going curb ramp program to upgrade public sidewalk ramps to conform to American with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The following locations are included in this project:

• Harrison Street
• Buechler Park

On January 23, 2024, via Resolution No. 2024-21, City Council approved the award of Curb Ramp Project 2024-CR-1 in the amount of $137,963.50 to The Diamond Engineering Company of Grand Island, Nebraska.
