The North Road- Old Potash Highway to 13^th Street Roadway Improvements; Project No. 2019-P-6 is for the improvement of North Road from just north of the intersection with Old Potash Highway and the intersection with 13^th Street.  The Engineering Division of the Public Works Department proposed a concrete curb and gutter roadway section with associated sidewalk, traffic control, drainage and all other related improvements needed to complete the project.

On March 12, 2019, via Resolution No. 2019-86, City Council approved an agreement with  Alfred Benesch & Company for conceptual design and cost estimate services on a time and expense basis not to exceed $96,524.00.  Such services will include a detailed topographic survey, geotechnical analysis, and traffic operations study of the corridor to allow for proper cost estimation. 

On November 12, 2019, via Resolution No. 2019-336, City Council approved Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $133,772.00, to the original agreement to include final engineering design services.

On June 8, 2021, via Resolution No. 2021-133, City Council approved Amendment No. 2 in the amount of $376,401.00, to the original agreement, to include bidding phase and construction observation services.

On February 14, 2023, via Resolution No. 2023-34, City Council approved Amendment No. 3 in the amount of $15,000.00, to the original agreement, to include additional design work to address a water/storm sewer conflict.

On October 12, 2021, via Resolution No. 2021-269, City Council approved the construction bid of Elsbury Construction, LLC of Grand Island, Nebraska in the amount of $2,655,803.05.

On October 11, 2022, via Resolution No. 2022-288, City Council approved Change Order No.1 with Elsbury Construction, LLC, in the amount of $152,812.81, to address raising of storm sewer, lowering of existing water main, removal of underground storm sewer structure, construction of new outfall pipe for Sweetwood detention cell, crushed rock base material for special junction box, and relocation of curb stop water boxes.

On August 22, 2023, via Resolution No. 2023-203, City Council approved Change Order No. 2, in the amount of $107,449.78, with Elsbury Construction, LLC to rectify quantities

 On April 23, 2024,  via Resolution No. 2024-106, City Council approved Certificate of Final Completion for North Road- Old Potash Highway to 13^th Street Roadway Improvements; Project No. 2019-P-6, in the amount of $3,574,814.88.
