GIAMPO Long Range Transportation Plan
The Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is a 25-year plan which provides a list of transportation projects to meet the future transportation needs in the region. This is accomplished by analyzing demographic forecasts and current conditions of all modes of transportation including highways, roads, transit, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, aviation, and rail.
The LRTP is updated every five years. The plans, projections, and proposed solutions aim to increase the quality of life for area residents. Additionally, in order to be eligible for federal funding, projects must be listed in the LRTP.
