Grand Island, Neb. — Families looking for a spooky good time before actual Halloween have a great opportunity to load up on candy and interact with local law enforcement.
Hall County Crime Stoppers is hosting “Halloween With Heroes,” which is the first of what the agency hopes to be an annual event on Monday, October 28 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Fonner Park Sheep Barn.
Agencies involved with this trunk or treat-style event include the Grand Island Police Department, Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol, Hall County Crime Stoppers and several more.
There is room for 40 total booths if other businesses or agencies would like to participate in the event. The event is free and open to the general public. “Halloween With Heroes” is designed to be a family-friendly and safe environment for kids to go trick or treating, while also providing an opportunity for local law enforcement to engage with the community.
