JBS Trail Culvert Replacement
The JBS Trail Culvert Replacement project allowed for reconstruction of the culvert, which deteriorated and was no longer serving its purpose. The culvert is under the alignment of the JBS Trail, which is a ten (10) foot wide concrete trail approximately one (1) mile extending from the east trail and ending at the JBS plant. This culvert replacement project also allowed for the extension of the referenced culvert to fix extreme erosion near a pole that supports critical electrical transmission lines coming from Burdick Station power plant. Failure to do this could result in the support pole failing.
On October 26, 2021, via Resolution No. 2021-297, City Council approved such project in the amount of $231,500.00 to allow construction of the trail culvert.
Th JBS Trail Culvert Replacement project was completed at a cost of $228,995.52.
Below are pictures of the original culvert.
