Street Division General Information  

The Street  Division is responsible for maintaining safe and efficient driving conditions.

The division performs maintenance on 963 lane-miles of street; Services and repairs 85 signalized intersections as well as many advanced warning systems for school zones, emergency vehicle entrances, and pedestrian crossings; Installs and repairs all traffic control signs; paints or applies all pavement marking; Maintains storm sewer pipes, storm water inlets, storm water manholes, open ditches, and storm water detention ponds.

The division also performs street sweeping, right-of-way mowing, alley and gravel road grading, ice control and snow removal operations.
