Transit Study
The City of Grand Island and the Grand Island Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (GIAMPO) launched the Regional Transit Needs Assessment and Feasibility Study in March 2017.
The purpose of the study was to:
Review existing transit services in Grand Island and Hall County
Analyze transit demand
Develop short-term public transit options
Prepare a 3-5 year plan, budget, and implementation plan for the region
In December 2017, the GIAMPO Policy Board approved the Summary Final Report for the study. This report provides a roadmap to guide the City of Grand to meet the future vision of transit for the community.
