The City of Grand Island holds the following Guiding Principles, Laws and Statutes regarding Fair Housing:
The City of Grand Island will not discriminate based on race, or color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability.
The City of Grand Island complies with the following Fair Housing Act:
Section 110 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.
Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended (29 USC 102 et seq).
Davis Bacon Act, as amended (40 USC 276-a – 276-a-5) and Section 2 of the June 13 1934 Act, as amended (48 Stat 948.40 USC 276© and popularly known as The Copeland Act.
Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 USC 327 et seq)
