Independence Avenue; Capital Avenue to Manchester Road; Project No. 2023-P-10
This project is for the improvement of Independence Avenue from Capital Avenue to Manchester Road. The Public Works Department is proposing to replace the existing asphalt street with a concrete curb and gutter roadway section along with associated sidewalk, traffic control, drainage and all other improvements needed to complete the project.
On October 10, 2023, via Resolution No. 2023-257, City Council approved Engineering Consulting Services for Independence Avenue; Capital Avenue to Manchester Road; Project No. 2023-P-10 in the amount of $192,995.00 to JEO Consulting Group, Inc. of Grand Island, Nebraska.
On September 10, 2024, via Resolution No. 2024-208, City Council approved Amendment No. 1 to the original agreement with JEO Consulting Group, Inc. in the amount of $239,260.00, resulting in a revised agreement amount of $432,255.00. This amendment allowed for property acquisition services, as well as bidding phase services for such project.
On March 11, 2025, via Resolution No. 2025-82, City Council approved Amendment No. 2 to the original agreement with JEO Consulting Group, Inc. in the amount of $335,095.00, resulting in a revised agreement amount of $767,350.00. This amendment allowed for construction phase services for such project.
On February 11, 2025, via Resolution No. 2025-41, City Council approved the bid award to The Diamond Engineering Company in the amount of $3,380,034.15.
