This project will replace the raw sewage pump, which is a major component of the Headworks, as the existing pump has failed and has been sent in for repairs. With this additional pump there will now be a backup in case of future issues.

On October 8, 2024, via Resolution No. 2024-249, City Council approved the repair of a 10 MGD pump currently out of service for an amount of $65,839.50, as well as the purchase of a backup pump in the amount of $101,520.00 from Electric Pump of Des Moines, Iowa.
