Grand Island City Council approved ordinance No. 9642 on August 15, 2017, this ordinance imposes a 6% occupation tax on vehicles rented within the city limits effective October 1, 2017. Vehicles rented for less than 30 days that are 3/4 of a ton or smaller and do not have an operator would be subject to this occupation tax.
