Sanitary Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation; Project No. 2025-S-2

The Public Works Department is taking a proactive approach in repairing sanitary sewer manholes throughout the City prior to any major failures, as budget allows.  At this time manhole lining is thought to be the ideal solution as existing manholes are such that full replacement is not required, but other rehabilitation solutions could be considered.

This project is for the engineering of the FY26 sanitary sewer manhole rehabilitation and will continue to address manhole degradation. Such degradation is due to age and exposure to toxic gases. A flexible polymer liner is used to extend the lifespan.

Staff budgets engineering and construction in alternating years.

On December 3, 2024, via Resolution No. 2024-321, City Council approved an agreement with Olsson, Inc. of Grand Island, NE in the amount of $69,550.00 for engineering consulting services.
