Cooking the Books

Grand Island, Neb. — Garlic is a staple ingredient for many dishes.

Love it or hate it, garlic is the theme for April’s “Cooking the Books.” Join us as we explore unique and creative ways to use garlic in anything from appetizers to desserts. The meeting is set for Saturday, April 19 at 12 p.m. in Meeting Room A of the Grand Island Public Library.

If you are a fan of food, cooking and trying new recipes, you will enjoy “Cooking the Books.” Participants select a cookbook, test out a recipe or two and bring one of their creations to share with the group. Members then discuss their cookbooks, recipes, cooking experience and more.
